Bagelry Box to open at Wapping Wharf.

With a focus on quality local ingredients, Bagelry Box will open this week on Wednesday 30th August at Wapping Wharf. A true lockdown success story, Bagelry Box started as a dream between founders Flo and George seven years ago. The couple were working as chefs in London and came up with the concept after finishing late shifts in the kitchen, and when they found themselves separated through lockdown, Flo began to experiment with baking bagels, which is where Bagelry Box was born.

After moving to Bristol a year ago, Flo and George discovered Wapping Wharf, and fell in love with the community feel and wide range of independent shops, bars and restaurants. After acquiring Baldrick, their converted horsebox, the couple began selling their bagels at markets across Bristol and the South West, and they’ll now be bringing their regularly changing menu to Wapping Wharf.

Bagelry Box’s bagels are baked fresh every morning at 4am, and come with a variety of toppings including their secret blend of original herbs and spices to make the Everything Bagel. The menu changes regularly but showcases classics such as smoked salmon (sourced from their neighbours at Clifton Seafood Company), 10-hour smoked pastrami, and the brunch bagel, with lots of options for meat eaters and vegetarians.

Speaking about the new opening, co-founder Flo said:

“When we moved to Bristol we knew we wanted to bring Bagelry Box to Wapping Wharf, as it was the first area of the city we really discovered and we really fell in love with it and all of the incredible food offerings, so we’re really excited to join the community and bring our love of everything bagels to the people of Bristol!”

Speaking about the newest addition to the Wapping Wharf community, Stuart Hatton, managing director at Umberslade said:

“We can’t wait to welcome Flo, George and their horsebox Baldrick to our independent community at Wapping Wharf, and it’s great to see the area growing and developing, especially ahead of the reopening of Gaol Ferry Bridge on the 8th September.” explains Stuart.

Bagelry Box will open at 11am on Wednesday 30th August and will then be open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 11am to 4pm and Saturday and Sunday, 10:30am to 5pm. Their horsebox will be situated at Cargo 2, next to The Clifton Seafood Company.
