One of Bristol’s best loved cakeries is set to open at Wapping Wharf this March, bringing an array of sweet treats to the city’s independent harbourside quarter.
ANNA Cake Couture has been an institution on the Bristol food scene for 10 years now, when Anna Taylor, one of the country’s premier wedding cake designers, opened her first store in the heart of Clifton Village. Now, after a decade, Anna and her team are due to open their second location at Wapping Wharf this month.
ANNA Cake Couture has seen its reputation spread far and wide over the last decade, with the likes of the Hairy Bikers coming to visit to find out how the team at ANNA create their famous chunky cookies at their baking location in Old Market, Bristol.
Opening in Wapping Wharf has always been something Anna has wanted to do, and they will soon be taking on the unit previously occupied by Bush in Cargo One. Their opening date is set for Wednesday 13th March.
Speaking about the decision to bring the business to Wapping Wharf, founder Anna said:
“As a born and bred Bristolian I'm so excited to be able to offer more of what I love to the people of Bristol. Being in Wapping Wharf was such a great opportunity to make it easier for our wonderful customers to get to us, and being around some of the best food places in Bristol just makes it that much more exciting.”
Speaking about the newest addition to the Wapping Wharf community, Stuart Hatton, managing director at Umberslade said:
“We can’t wait to welcome Anna & Felix to our independent community at Wapping Wharf. It’s great to see such an iconic cakery opening up alongside the likes of all the other amazing fooderies that make up our community, and it goes without saying that everyone here is rather excited to enjoy their sweet treat!”
ANNA Cake Couture will be opening their doors on Wednesday 13th March 2024 at Unit 8, Cargo One, Gaol Ferry Steps, Wapping Wharf. They’ll be open Monday to Thursday, 10am-6pm, Friday and Saturday, 10am-8.00pm, Sunday, 10am-6pm
Wapping Wharf is in the heart of Bristol’s historical and cultural quarter, with its tree-lined pedestrian and cycle route, Gaol Ferry Steps, providing an important connection between south Bristol to the city centre.
